AS REVIEWED BY BILL WEATHERFORD
Bill Weatherford, AKA "Biiiiiiiil" joined the san Luis Italian Speakers Group in the fall of 2004 after 33 years
as director, fight choreographer, and teacher of theatre arts. In retirement, his life long interest in cinema has led him to more film classes, screen writing and
commercial work and the goal of, someday, making an independent film of quality for personal satisfaction.
Bill has been invited to serve as the film critic for Fior d'Italia, periodically reviewing Italian films available on video and DVD.
Interested club members are encouraged to view these movies (possibly even for a second time.) Some are well known; some might be more
obscure. All are readily available and are an opportunity
to explore film not only as art but as part of Italian historical, cultural and psychological experiences.
